wat iz finger picking???/

    hello to all d IGT'ians,i m new to igt and dis iz my first post
    can some1 tell me abt finger picking,and iz it same 4 all d chords....?

    It'll be a bit hard to play the guitar with your finger up your nose dont you think?

    i mean 2 say,instead of strumming all d string while playing a chord,we can also strike the strings one by one wid our fingers and der is a pattern 4 it....i wanna knw abt it

    Patterns differ from song to song...no definite form though,
    there are two different types of finger picking methods, but they are not just for chords, but for any kinda music you wanna play:

    1. Rest Stroke - where you use your p, i & m fingers, useful IMHO for pickin many notes on single string fast.

    2. Free Stroke - where you use i, m, a fingers on strings G, B, e(low) respectively. Thumb is used for playing root/ bass notes here on strings E, A, & D. Note here that fingers i, m, & a are used for only their designated strings.
    u might wanna see metallica - nothing else matters played easily using rest stroke. Just follow ----p i m a m i---- and so on
