The Rock anthems List

    Stairway to heaven has definitely gotto be THE ROCK ANTHEM... but ther are certailny lots of other damn popular songs... any good band has got atleast one such... how about making a list...?

    Nah, Stairway is not a rock anthem IMO.
    The rock anthem has to have an extremely catchy intro or riff that make them instantly recognizable, few songs that come to my mind:
    1. Smoke on the water
    2. rock you like hurricane
    3. Crazy little thing called love
    ...

    uhm, fade to black would be one with all catchy starting riffs... looses out so badly as it progresses... guess starting riffs isn't such a big thing...

    there are quite a few that kinda grow on u..
    like...

    free bird...
    shine on ur crazy diamond...

    they should qualify...

    For me stairway to heaven is the no.1 rock anthem.next would be nothin else matters,november rain.
