Hey, m new to this forum. I wanna buy a new guitar and have zeroed down on the GRX20 (coz it's easily in my budget) I have the following questions: 1) Some specs say it has PS I&II PU's while others say STD I&II. Does it make a difference? 2) Again some say it has an Agathis body while others say its got basswood. Should i be concerned? 3) Are the China and Indonesian makes any different? 4) I'm getting the grx20+marshall 10cd for 15k. Should i go ahead with this? 5) Or should i go for the grg170dx and use my comp. spkrs for a while?
Ok, i've increased my budget and am now confused between grg270/squier showmaster hss/ kramer striker 434cm. PLEASE HELP GUYS!!!! I'm gonna get it in a week...
So you guys think i should go for the 270? i've heard its got a horrible FR system... Had very good reviews abt the kramer though...the maple fretboard is kinna seducing...
kramer without a doubt ..But i suggest you forgot about having a guitar with a floating bridge and get an ibanez rg321
^^ u are right bout one thing dat a beginner should not buy a guitar with a floating tremolo.......and ibanez rg321 is one of da best guitar in its range........bt da part bout da krammer is kinda wrong in my belief...i have tried some lower end kramers and frankly dey ssuck.....frm wat i have heard kramer is just a lower cost arm of gibson and da quality is reeli bad..........
Going for showmaster Alright, I've read a ton reviews...and according to most of them, all ibanez low end guitars are supposd to SUCK!!! The kramers aren't supposed to be versatile enough and pickups are "muddy"(whatevr tht means), where as the showmaster: no negative reviews as of yet... do u ppl think i'm going in the right direction. Besides, the quier showmasters are suppsed to be outta manufacturing...guess b'coz it's too good for its price...dunno
Who wrote those reviews??? Must be the people who dont know hw to play guitar... Or they wud hv compared them wid guitars of the range 30k+ U just cant shrug off ibanez lyk dis... The guitars r gud fr their price, i've played a few of dem... Dont know abt a squier, hvnt tried it... kramer is gud too... Its just i wud hv picked an ibanez fr myself... If u r sure of the squier go fr it...
I know the new kramers are no where close to the older ones .But ,outta the 3 guitars the ts is looking at ,the kramer is definitely the best.The major problem with the new kramer guitars is quality control.So if you are buying the kramer , play before you pay. I dont have any experience with the pacer series .I have played a baretta and the 424cm and i must say there is no comparison between them.But for its price ,the 424cm is decently built and the stock pickups on it are much much better than its competitors.I have also said this time and time again ,if you are going ibanez, do not buy anything below the rg321.
Esp mh53! Hey guys... today i just tried out this ltd mh53 i came across... i totally loved it! maple fretboard n all... although the FR unit was kinna weird... it had esp engraved on it...nothing else no " licensed by floyd rose"... just esp engraved on it... although it sounded FINE...
Ibanez! if u cn buy the US Krammer den its better bt chinese krammer is far behind a chinese Ibanez! Any Ibanez above GRG 170 is really satisfying and is really better dan a krammer of same price. I loved the fender showmaster bt sadly i thnk its out of market. I hav a Krammer as well as GRG 220 DX. n DX rocks! iv also played the Ibanez steve vai model(i dnt remembr d name bt it cums fr around 28k. dat one) n believe me except for the bridge 220 DX is as gud as it is. if u require sum serious tremolo use like dragonforce den 220 is a bit low end but if u require it like children of bodom or metallica den 220 is good. IBANEZ any time! n remembr Satriani 2 uses ibanez!
Yeah he does....so does vai and PG... all gods... if you're saying the showmaster is really worth it then i'll buy it... it is available at musician's mall... but seriously...kramer striker has caught my eye... will most probably be ordering it off Bajaao...
