well, hi fellow people. i need some help. I am going to buy a new guitar don't know. Which type to get.
I had a simple givson guitar the f-hole one. Now i m confused whether to get a electric guitar or a electro-acoustic one.
If someone could tell me what's the diff between the two and whether the electro acoustic one would complete the need for both.
I wanna try playing electric now. I have been playing acoustic for onr year now.
    Which one should i buy.
And if u could plz post suggestions for some good guitars that i shoulld look for.
    Thanx in advance.........

It depends on the type of music u play......if u play hard rock/ metal its better to go for an electric guitar....but if u play classical/soft rock.........a semi elec would suit u........

the difference b/w electric and semi electric is dat a semi electric i an acoustic guitar with a pic-up......it can be played without connecting it with an amp and it can be connected be with an amp for a bigger audience.......

but semi electrics do not give u da same tone as an electric when it comes to metal........dose sounds can only be given justice with an electric......

Whether to buy an electric or a semi electric depends either on your budget or on da genre of music u play......
cheap electrics are worse than semi electrics.........if your budget is around 10000 or less opt for a semi electric......if its about or above 20000 u can buy an decent electric with a distortion pedal/ processor and amplifier(both are necessary)..........

i think acoustic electrics are crap. If performing sometimes it comes handy(if need a acoustic sound). but otherwise I think people should go for solid body guitars. It surely enriches you. a mexican made fender strat will be my choice

Electro-acoustic would not complete the need for both. Get an electric if you want to play an electric.

go for an electric guitar....using a guitar processor u can get an acoustic tone( if u want one).
if u have a budget of 20K go 4 an ibanez grg170dx and a gud guitar processor

Getting an elctric is the instant solution for your problem. I suggest that you stick with the acoustic until you think you need to buy a elctric, not just cause its easy on the fingers.

If u think, ur guitar gives u sum extraordinary pain, try changing the strings... but keep practicing hard, ur finger strength develops better on an acoustic... An electric is comparitively smoother, if u want one under 10k, including an amp, U got only java, givson, gba n sum chinese makes (dont go fr givsons, chinese mades are best bet), or u can go fr second hands... n u need a processor too if u wanna play punk... So wrapping it under 10k is rly difficult... Try ur luck...
