    hey plz plz tell me

    i have been guitar for the past 3 years but i play lead with all down strokes...not with cross strokes...now my new teacher is saying that its a wrong technique,can anybody tell me what is correct,all down or all up

    no boss it depends upon the song
    some songs have all up some have all down while others simultaneous
    main thing is time management

    I feel if you don't use both up-and-down strokes while playing lead, its very difficult to maintain the speed. Bu after all there are many techniques to play lead, some even play lead with fingers only.. I use strumming using fingers bcoz I can't strum using the pick, I feel a little incomfortable while fast strumming using the pick. So its best the way u feel more comfortable, but yes, the bookish technique will always result in the best sound coming out of your guitar.. what say guys..??
