i visited da only shop in my city to check some guitar as i want to buy one.
i tried fender squier, grg270 , esp viper 50(it looks like one i forgot to ask the model no.)
fender gave very weak so rejected but i liked both grg 270 and esp and cost nearly same around 16k and he shopkeeper usually gives discount that might reduce it by another 1000.
esp had a fixed bridge but great, warm, fat and ambient tone while ibanez had whamy but tone didnot appear as mellodic n ambient. Dis wat what my newbie ear cud observe.

SO DOES A FATTER TONED GUITAR GIVES A BETTER DISTORTION (ESP) OR SHUD I GO FOR WHAMMY ??
HOW OFTEN U USE WHAMMY INSTED OF BEND?

    Buy a ibanez RG321. I got mine for 16K.
Its got a fixed bridge. I wouldn't recommend a floating tremolo for beginners.

well i m not dat gud but i have been playing acoustic guitar for nearly 1 and half yrs and also i want to learn whammy stuff dat why i wanted grg270.
270 has got a floyd rose not a floating tremolo(tell me if i m wrong!! or floyd rose n locking tremolo are two diff things. PLz enlighten me!!).
also rg series was not available at da shop n he has to bring da model from somewhere and den i wont have a option but to buy whichever piece brings.

killingmachine.............floyd rose is a floating tremolo. Most guitar companies manufacture there own floating tremolo based on the original floyd (for example : ibanez have there own range of floating tremolos called the edge series on mid ranged guitars)
    hope this helped !!!!!
