HI friends, I came up with a problem here.Since i have 2.1 speakers and the guitar signal is mono...only one speaker plays.....is there any software or external method to convert it into a stereo signal?? thanks in advance :beer:
Hey, there should be some software to convert but not sure which one does it. But definitely it should be present, like we have stereo to 5.1, 7.1 conversion. Could be as easy to click 'send to both channels', in recording software.. not sure, Google search gave some links, I didnt understand anything. I will try it by physical cabling. ( i haven't tried yet) I will connect the mono signal to both channels in stereo. I mean, prepare a cable with one end having mono jack and other end stereo(this end u r going to plug in to ur computer or hometheatre). From mono jack, you have 2 signals - Ground and Signal (my own naming conventions, dont complain... idont know what they call exactly). Connect the ground signal to the common in stereo jack, and connect the signal to both channels of the stereo jack. adobe audition.records and also exports in stereo ...dude..anyway ..u wil be usin a plug to connect your guitar into the line in ...you are pluggin into a stereo jack ..so bot spearkers must work or are u usin a mic???... if yes..then chuck the mic and get a big to small mic plug( again.just as guitar boy said ..i dunno the jargony words..this is my terminology) ..it must be like 10 bux ...connect your lead out into it and directly into Line in ..and voila...stereo output
thanx for the links and suggestions.....actually i was looking for a software which could convert the signal while live playing which i could not found... i am using a processor.... both the jacks on my cable are mono....i will try making a one end mono & one end stereo cable(like guitar boy suggested)and let u know wat happened..

ur comp has a mic jack?? wt comp is it? i haev to use a convertor(external) u get mono and stereo convertors in the market.
i use the line in jack on my computer... i know abt the softwares which convert audio files from mono to stereo...i was looking for a software which does that while live playing.. the external method has solved my problem....still i am looking for such a software...thanx for the suggestions!!!
hi U will get some connector in any electronics shops. u can ask link one side mono mic jack (male) and second side general walkmen jack (female). Enjoy.
Does your processor have stereo output i.e one left and a right o/p ports. If you have you can easily mke a cale for using thetwo.
