    midi to usb/game port

    i wanted to know where can i get a converter for my old piano which has midi out and want to connect it to my comp needs something like midi - usb or midi - game port adapters where can i get and what the cost and also important do we have to use any software for sync with my comp.

    I think you need a sound card with a MIDI IN slot. You can't connect MIDI out to USB ports (even if you get a converter, it wouldn't work). Typically, these sound cards costs around 10k or even more. I am not sure about the price though. Go to a computer shop and ask for a sound card with MIDI IN slot.
