@akkyy: .NET Provides Platform Independency... but at a cost!
Its a MIDDLE LEVEL Language.. for which other languages have to port changes to make them .NET compatible, wherein many key features of that language is lost!
Hence, though .NET provides platform plus language coding independency, i feel its making other language weak in the process!
The only reason why .NET platform would succeed is, the powerful suite of VISUAL Tools to develop programs faster!
Remember VB 6? .NET is heading for similar success due to the powerful Visual IDE provided by Microsoft!
But as a serious programmer, i would prefer JAVA!
