    Record on ur Cell...

I am myself planning to upgrade my recording gear since the quality of my recordings is not great.

What i have been doing is using a computer headphones with mic for recording along with AUDACITY software. The recording is not great but since u dont want to spend much this is the cheapest option available...Else use ur Phone and record on it..Cant think of anything else..

Yes you can use your cell phone.
You may also use the cheap microphone and amp.

The reason why ppl go in for expensive recording solutions is to get hi fidelity in tone.
That means the recording = what you hear live.

But if that's not what you are looking out for (for personal preference reasons, or perhaps because you wish to create a CD and sell it to the world) there is no point in spending high.

Ok..so lemme jus tell you everythin that I might have left out..which might help you help me in a better way.

What I wanna do is: record songs on a digicam (cellphone's crappy :P) with jus a mike and no amps for guitar. and then possibly post the videos on youtube.
So there's this guy selling a mike for 250/- and a single-input amp specifically for a mike for 850/-. With what I intend to do, will that 850/- amp suit me..? And what abt the mike..? Coz if i go ahead with the purchase and it doesn't turn out in the desired manner, it's simple: i'll be screwed. :/

    ?
You expect bollywood music directors and music recording giant companies (like Sony etc) to sign you up, when they check you out on youtube?

Borrow ur friends cell phone :P..And you always have an option of puttin up the stuff for sale. Anyways u dont have much options left with you.

    See if this makes sense
-Get you guitar and find a comfortable place to sit
    -login to internet
    -Start Yahoo messenger
-Fix a webcam with Mic(Any cheap webcam wud do)
    -Call your friends online
-And then play for them live.

Its more fun to play live than to upload videos... ..What do u think?
