I just wanna know how many Hardcore pc gamers are there in IGT! Please do reply!

Play online multiplayer with them i suppose. I used to be a hardcore gamer but i have stopped it now.

I used to be, more than half a decade ago. That was the time when I was playing guitars etc too

yea same, been a few years since i've been played for more than 30 minutes at a stretch

Damn, gaming is dying... Im a hardcore gamer myself but and Im gonna get my new pc build pretty soon. Cant wait.

a) It's not.

b) If it were even being toned down a little, I imagine it would be a good thing. I can't think of anything more ridiculous than people saying that they play the Wii games for the excercise.

Found Panzer general (and the TBS games based on it). Just what I want.
Though I prefer Battle of Wesnoth (but it gets long) ...

have you played solar wars? it's one of the best and simplest turn based strategy games i've played. doubt it'll work on vista/win 7 now tho

I've always been crazy about games though I never quite made it to the "gaming" clique. I love the RPG genre. I'm not such a fan of action (unless it's as awesome as Call of Duty first was...or a quake 3 type of team game). I never ever play online because I know I'll get addicted and that will end whatever little life I have left.

I've recently played Dragon Age 2 and am going to play the new Assassins Creed and Batman game. I also play a lot of the strategy games but I'm really really bad at them. At AoE, I love to build up before I go to fight and usually end up getting attacked before I have any defenses up. I also play some of the sports games...Fifa and NBA I think. I used to love baseball but they stopped those eventually I think. I also play the puzzle type games and am quite good at them...mystery case files type.


My favourite game ever has to be Dink Smallwood...and I would've loved the Harry Potter games if they'd made them well.

woah that's quite awesome, i'd say you've played enough to call yourself a gamer (barring strategy unfortunately, my favorite :( )

haha, the difference is that gamers are usually good at the games they play. I couldn't win Fifa on World Class even though I've played it for so long....or beat AoE at hard difficulty. And I get bored by constant hack n slash without a good story backing it up.


and don't get me wrong...strategy is still my favourite genre but it's just that I suck so badly at it, I am embarrassed to mention that I play all the strategy games I can find. I don't like the turn based games or the Commando type so much but games like AoE or Warcraft (before it went online) or Tzar. My favourite of the type would probably be Zeus which is like Caesar only easier.


ooh, also simulation like the Sid Meier simgolf or casino tycoon or lemonade tycoon or roller coaster tycoon etc. etc.


Also, I hate it when people ask what your setup is. I don't know a thing about Graphics cards and motherboards and I don't want to!

haha well knowing a few extra things about your tech can't be too harmful

I am a victim of that gaming addiction. That is the reason i had to give up gaming. Now i dont even dare to upgrade my PC else i end up playing again.

Well speaking about games first comes Counter Strike i had my own clan and used to play regularly online. FPS is my favorite genre. And Crysis is my favorite game. Then i have played Call of Duty(entire series upto mw2), Battlefield Bad Company 2, F.E.A.R., Far Cry, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky,Project IGI many others that escape my mind
Then come the Stealth FPS I have played the Hitman series and the Splinter Cell.
My second favorite genre RTS. I have played The entire Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Command and Conquer. Turn based ones like WoW appeal to me less.
I dont like the hack and slash games but i'll make an exception for the God of War series.
Then how can i forget the Grand Theft Auto. I am an ardent fan. I still have the songs that played on Vice City and San Andreas radio in my playlist. GTA 4 was awesome.
Sports, not much except ofcourse Racing was my forte. Used to like NFS very much until Pro Street. I like Racedriver:GRID, I played the Forza 4 recently it blew my mind.

And i forgot to mention my first game ever was Super Mario on Nintendo console when i was in KG-1 First PC game was Dangerous Dave.
