Note: These tips are applicable only if ur processor or tuner pedal can display the note that is fretted, including sharps/flats not just open strings with low latency. There are some software's on the internet ( i dont remember the name can some one point them out please ) which display the note played
one can use the same by connecting your guitar to the mic input of the soundcard.

Use bypass mode of the Processor/Tuner while playing ( there is a downside to it, one cannot use the programmed tone on the processor, anyways we are learning )

What can be improved:

1) String Bends.
2) Learn to play scales at different positions of the fret board.

Processor/Tuner as Fretboard trainer.

String Bend:
String bends can pose challenge to beginners, especially while controlling the amount of bend, this is where the note display feature of the Processor/Tuner comes to our rescue.

if u need to bend a note by a semi-tone( exact ), exert finger pressure upwards till the the Processor/tuner indicates the note is higher by a semi-tone of the original note played. similiarly for a whole tone bend.

Practice is the key, eventually it will come and u will be able to do smooth semi/whole tone bends without the aid of the Processor/tuner.

Caution: Note that the amount of pressure exerted varies with string guages. beginners can start with guage 9 and then migrate to higher guages depending on ur playing style and tone desired.

2. Learn to play scales at different positions on the fretboard.

Pre-requisite :

One needs to know the notes that belong to a scale ( major, minor, pentatonic. blues ). Theory helps !!

for eg: Am pentatonic. { A, C, D, E, G }, typically we play it from 5 fret of 6 string.

The same can be played beginning at 8, 10, 12th frets of the 6th string by playing only the notes that belong to the scale while traversing downwards. The notes displayed on the tuner will help u in fretting the correct notes and learning scale patterns.

Alternatively, This can also help in figuring out the scale of the passage played by looking at the notes displayed which is much faster than writing the notes down and pondering over it

Hope this helps !!.
