    Hi everybody

    can any body help me to overcome the problem of high difference between fret and strings. Previously, the guitar shopkeeper removes this problem saying that there is bend. Now, again i am facing same problem. I cant go again and again to shopkeeper for repairing. Please help me. I there any precautionery measures to overcome this problem.

    you have high action...
    this may be due to a no. of reasons but most common is warping of guitar..
    it has a no of cures
    the guitar is sent back to the factory and compressed there (cost depends on brand)
    or you can add a tailpiece and
    sometimes remove your original bridge(this needs to be done only in extreme cases where the strings touch the bridge)
    normally bridge is left on cause
    1. ppl dont like to tamper with the guitar body
    2. less work
    3. looks

    I would suggest buying a new guitar and selling your old one since it is giving you so many probs

    probably u r not treating ur guitar fairly...How do u keep ur guitar at home?

    Just incase if u plan to buy a new guitar get a stand along with it and place the guitar on that to avoid neck bends
