Like the sound of SIII. Its not really more headroom all over tht i'm after, one channel that distorts easily, and then one which doesn't. An Extra EF86/83 channel would probably workout best. But then, I dont have much experience with all tube amps, so I can only guess. Do what you think is best.
SIII sounds great. Aren't 6V6 tubes for more of a Cali type tone? Compared with the EL84s?

The TMB/EF would work best then. But you'll need an ABY box to exploit it to its fullest. I believe some Matchless amps used EF86 tubes in them so you get that wish also delivered in the same amp.

Thats great then. I'll order some 3pdt foot switches and make an ABY box then.

You can check out the TC 15 clips at Trinityamps to get some idea of what I'll be building for you. I like this sound better than the Ceriatone version. And its cleans are a lot closer to a genuine Matchless Lightning. You'll need to hunt down a good speaker or two though.
btw could you order a few for me too. I'll work it into the amps cost

Sure thing man, But it might take some time. My friend will be coming in mid june or early july. If i'm getting it earlier, I'll send them to you asap.
I'm going to be the Tone God of Hyderabad once I get that amp.

I've already got a few circuits wired up and lying around just waiting for those switches. I hope my pots supplier has enough stock for all these amps coz I don't want to have to order those too, but I suppose I will eventually have to depending on how these things sell. But I think I'll be busy enough with the amps till June, July. I have two of my own amps that are slated for a makeover

Alright then. How many would you want? Those things are expensive, so i'll be ordering in required quantities only.

tallkien you might have another customer. My guitar teacher (chris avinash- ex Angel Dust singer/guitarist) worked for Virgin music for a while and now hes building his studio. I went to his place for some "runs" tips and his studio is kickass! Hes got this presonus Blue Tube preamp, Some mixers , Nice big PAs. Delta 1010 etc etc. I asked him if he was interested in getting some nice tube amps/heads for his studio and he might want to order from you. Can i have those links to those clips? He wants to hear them. He's friends with Erisa and stuff...you might know him already. I didnt know your real name so i couldnt refer lol

What pots do you use...I thought you didn't get half-decent pots in India?

You do get decent NOS types. Short supply though. This particular company closed down. Very nice pots though. Can't remember the name right now

Good call. Teachers don't come a lot better than Chris, and he's a great guy too. Still, see if he remembers, I'm sure he will
