Recording playing videos
I need to record some videos of my playing (to gain feedback/criticism, primarily), but I hardly have any cash about me to upgrade my PC (whose meager specs are Intel P4 2.40GHz, 512 MB DDR1 RAM, and only a 40 GB HDD with ~<10 GB free.).
These are some of the things possible.
1. I record from my MP3 player's mic, and no video/use a Handycam which I have around the house for video.
2. I buy a cheap portable digital recorder (like Tascam's field recorders; please recommend some if you can) and use the Handycam for video.
3. I buy a line-in recording setup (eg Line 6 POD Studio GX) and hope that my PC can pull it off. (a waste of money if the PC turns out to be too slow).
I was first considering getting a Kodak Zi8 or Flip UltraHD for video, but that'd add to the cost, and I'm trying to keep things at a minimum here.
If someone has links to a guide or resource about this, that'd be a nice inclusion too.
