Price list for these guitars in india

    hi guys,
i came back from dubai, i was going to buy the yamaha f340 and bring it over here but guess what, i called the airline ie air india express, and they said that you can't carry an acoustic guitar as hand baggage, and the box that the guitar came with wasn;t safe enough to send the guitar through cargo. So i decided to buy it from here, kerala.

I haven;t decided which to buy yet, i don;t know, i might buy an electric guitar.

So how much will a yamaha f340 cost over here.
and a yamaha pacifica with the GA 10 amps.

I might buy any one of these, unless u guys recommend anything else.

I'm ready to spend like 5000Rs for the acoustic guitar or 10000 for the electric guitar.

I currently own a givson 150, after playing all those guitars in the shops in dubai, i don;t have the strenght to play my givson.

Do u guys know any shop in kerala where i can buy this at a good price?

    Please reply asap.

I forgot to mention that i was going to buy the yamaha f340 for 455Dhs, ie like more than 5200Rs, and the yamaha pacifica cost like 800Dhs and the yamaha gigmaker for 900Dhs, ie 9300Rs and 10500 respectively,

Can i get these for the same price in kerala, another thing if i were to go guitar shopping in kerala, where do i go, cochin or trivandrum?

In trivandrum, there's just one shop worth checkin out... Its called Sangeeth Mahal. They usually have guitars at decent prices ( RG 320 for 15K !!!) but I've NEVER seen them stock Yamaha's.......

Besides...the guitars seem to be seasonal there. One day u'll find some AWESOME guitars but most of the time alll u'll see are Givsons.

If it were up to me, I'd buy it abroad.

Dude, I guessed that. But it's still a good laugh. The thought of MG being called 'cheap and good'. Epic lulz XD
I otherwise doubt alpha1 would give bad info for any situation...or time period.

The MG is cheap and good. It's not cheap, and separately, good. It's not aimed at professional guitarists and tone snobs. Bottom line, say what you will, it's useable, if you're on a budget.

Well, what I'd say is what someone on UG said
Some people here probably view it [Marshall MG] as the worst amp ever made. Not me, though. It's probably like the third or fourth worst amp ever.
It's fine...but there's better for the price (Roland Cubes. And this I can say from experience. More usable - not perfect, mind, but WAY more usable - distortion, effects...way better.)

Not overly serious, just in disagreement with the tube or bust mentality on this forum.
That, btw, is only me. Who else? Not rickkkyrich or guitardoctor; not the newbies; IDK the status of flood, alpha1, and you.

And since I've never owned a tube amp (yet), my opinion doesn't count.

Even then, the only kind of amps I'm planning to buy are tube amps (and being a mainly cleans player, believe me, this only hurts me more than anyone else). The only solid states I'd ever consider worth buying are Roland Cube Street, a ZT, and something like a Henriksen/Acoustic Image/Evans. Even after that...tubes all the way.

Dunno about the higher end marshall MGs but the MG10 and MG15 sounded really horrible to me... Roland Cube 15x>>MG15 in my (very humble) opinion. Maybe the higher end MGs offer better tone with good value?
Anyway, I'm not of the tube OR solid state camp... More of a fence sitter looking to see what you experienced guys have to say about it... I've never played a tube amp so far. With gear shopping time coming up, that might change :-)
(Please correct me if I'm wrong from here on, this is based on lurking and reading the tube amp discussions on IGT.) If for a tube amp, cost is proportional to wattage, and clean headroom (which I understand means the volume to which you can crank the amp before it overdrives) is proportional to wattage: well, suppose I need loud clean tones. I'm pretty much screwed with a tube amp, no? SS amp ftw then?? Instead of getting a 20W tube amp, if I buy a really naaice ss amp with good wattage, great tone (albeit, not as nice as a tube amp, I concede)...
