Guitar/strap placement help
I play touchstyle on my Ibanez RG7, and currently play sitting, holding the guitar between the feet, kind of like between the calf muscles. Which feels solid, but is hard to sustain when playing energetically, or tapping heavily.
I need to know what I can do for this - I'm open to playing standing, but the strap won't let me hold it in the near-vertical way I prefer (always slips to the normal guitar position). I had an idea for fixing the strap on the lower cutaway of the guitar, but I think that would cause it to 'flip' outwardly. Perhaps it would work if I relocate the strap buttons on two points - the right-hand-side one would go somewhere close to where the right elbow is on a normal guitar, and the left-hand-side one would go on the lower horn (not exactly on it, but on the edge which, in normal playing, faces the ground)
Another possible solution is getting an endpin (like a cello) attached to the guitar. While I'm aware of the lapbar, I doubt how I'd get one of those here in India (and the cello endpin would be just as hard to find and install, too.).
Any help or suggestions would be great.
