they r way over priced. emxican strats are in $100-300 range.. and they r selling for 30,000Rs??? makes me mad

no they are just overpriced in this thread. someone already mentioned you should be able to pick up a fender mexican for 26k.

although i like the effort drsaurabh. any chance of getting a similar list for Gibson/Epiphone and can you get any prices for Fender USA equipment?

will be getting it soon.....like i said.am about to go on a pilgrimage of all music shops in mumbai....get their prices.try the gear they have........

often the cost of guitars depends on what you're getting with it - i dont see h0w this accounts for a difference of pice of 4k - ut maybe with or without gig ag or with our without somecables and all could account for a 1-2k price difference - more likely towards 1k... - this is in ref. to some difference between list costs and wat some1 said a mex strat could be boguht for...

also the erason were geting ripped off is not because fender is just sadistic - in india we ahve this phenomenol tariff on completely manufactured and imorte goods - if the guitars were uilt in india- they would cost much less - nt only coz of price of labour but tariff ould reduce substntially - but then again0 do u want them to amke their guitars in india?

so - vote for a free market oriented governemnet and hope they reduce taxes on guitar imports!!!!

oh ya - can some 1 make a single thread will all the price lists and make that sticky instread of this thread..

or should i do it?

the reason i dint make a single thread was....its easy to get lost in them...plus its more convinient to sperate the brands...the 3 most sought after brands here are epiphone ibanez and fender...so next is epi in the series.....
jackson,washburn etc aint that sought after.........here

@drsaurabh - i was just going thrugh both the prices lists - strangely - from wat vie seen at guitar shops - the guitars are priced 1-2k less than wats shown on ur lists - maybe these lists are outdated... some guitars are upto 4k under the lsited!

no man.....these are the list prices..and yeah they are recent..very recent....and they are the prices from bhargava's so mebbe hes overcharging.....dunno......tel me about the fender store
