A tele doesnt have the 4th position, the 2nd and the 4th position puts the neck and the middle and the bridge and the middle in parallel respectively. The middle pickup is usually installed with polarities reversed so it produces a signal reversed and when it is put in parallel with the neck or the bridge pickup it helps in cancelling the hum. The twang and the quack has more to do with the pickups than the baseplate, which was simply installed to reduce the hum in the pickup due to other ac sources by shielding.

Humbucker cannot get the twangy effect because a HumBucking pickup has different resistance, inductance and capacitance than single coils.

ALSO, if you do manage to match the RLC of Humbuck to Single coil - please note that the values of L and C change with frequency, so fine, you did manage to match the RLCs of both, but this won't hold true at other frequencies - and thus they will sound different.

I have Dimarzio Humbucker on the bridge position of my strat. I dont get that Twang anymore on the bridge. It happens only with the Single coils i guess..I do get the twang on middle(good) and middle + neck position(not soo good)..

But nothing can match the bridge single coil twang...
