Amp confusion, and a guitar stand question
Confused over which amp I should buy.
I need something for cleans only, no distortion, no effects, portable enough to carry around everywhere, and loud enough for small outdoor performances (sing-alongs and the like). Anything more than a Roland Mobile Cube (like the Cube Street, which I was considering and had tried out) will add an unwanted third bag on me (guitar, backpack, amp), and the Mobile Cube itself, while it'll easily stuff into my backpack, is not really for performing (will try it today!)
The Mobile Cube also has this epic fail of a problem in that if you turn it up past a certain level, the speakers blank out altogether (none of the usual speaker distortion/peaking).
Since the Mobile Cube doesn't really seem like a performing amp at all, I'll have to fast track the next one (BE3 Powerhouse 50/Brat head + 1x12 cab), unless there's a better battery powered solution for outdoor stuff.
How the heck does Zack Kim keep his second guitar up? I've seen that kind of stand used a lot, (like by the ugh-fest Yngwie Malmsteen), where could one of those be had? What do we call them anyway?
