    Question 11-gauge+170dx??

    Hey guys,
am currently using 9-gauge(stock) strings on my ibanez GRG170dx. If anyone has any experience could anyone tell will 11-gauge strings give a stable tuning or I shouldn't cross the 10-gauge line?? I want a more chucky sound from my axe. Thanks

Some intonation adjustment may be required. If the nut doesn't hold the strings you might have to file it. There's a very small chance that the extra tension will require a little adjustment of the truss rod.

+ spring tension should be adjusted if there is floyd rose.
