Get started on umm... arpeggio/finger picking stuff...

Here are the list of some easy beginner songs that helped me to learn some basics of finger picking (i dont know if this is the right term)...

But, basically what I am talking about is holding a chord and then plucking strings (with your fingers, not using a pick) not necessarily in order... even can pick two/three strings at a time...

    Easy ones:

Dust in the wind - Kansas
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...e_wind_tab.htm

    Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...dslide_tab.htm

Don't think twice - Bob Dylan
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/..._twice_tab.htm

    Dear prudence - The Beatles
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...e_ver2_tab.htm

Babe I'm gonna leave you - Led Zeppelin
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...ve_you_tab.htm

Stairway to heaven - Led Zeppelin
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...heaven_tab.htm

    Intermediate:

    Simple man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...le_man_tab.htm

    Julia - The Beatles
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/.../julia_tab.htm

    Blackbird - The Beatles
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...d_ver2_tab.htm

    Silent lucidity - Queensryche
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...cidity_tab.htm

Tears in heaven - Eric Clapton
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...heaven_tab.htm

    Advanced:

The needle and the damage done - Neil Young
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...e_done_tab.htm

Time in a bottle - Jim Croce
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...e_ver3_tab.htm

    Very hard:

    Classical gas - Mason Williams
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...al_gas_tab.htm

Mood for a day - Steve Hoew
    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/..._a_day_tab.htm

If you know any more, reply please...
I will be adding more as I learn some new songs...

    Thank you

PS - I have opened a similar thread on UT under the name - neilpan.

I found it comparatively hard... its got some barre chords to hold on... The intro is easy but it gets fairly complex... ( i mean the solo)

PS - this is just in my opinion to give an idea... some ppl found "very hard" songs easy and easy songs hard. So, dont bash around ... its just a matter of how good you are and how much you practice...

    @Crptic...
Thank you ... I have moved stairway to "easy" section. I just seperated the songs because it helps you in learning. Afterall, its all relative If you're good then its easy but honestly, I tried my ass off at stairway to heaven .... that was when I was not good with barres ..

@slash - I will add it after I try playing it ...thanks for mentioning !
Edit: which song are you talking about ? Can you please give me a link to the tab ?

@Guitar_guru ... yeah, i love that song especially when it gets pumped up ! ... thank you

^^ I guess its all relative. Cryptic_angel called it "Easy" but I think its easy to play the first part, but hard to master the whole song ...

I found it pretty hard too ..so dont worry..

u use the thumb to ring the E A strings n the other four fingers for the remaining 4 strings ie each finger a string???????
