    Different plucking different feel?

    I want to know what are the plucking patterns which make a tune give the feel of mexican, eastern (bollywooodish), western or different genre such as jazz, blues etc? coz often i try composing a tune or solo and just coz of plucking i often the feedback that it sounds bollywoodishhh..........which i certainly dont want to ..........can any one help?

    I guess the notes youi emphasize while playing on a scale determines the sound.
